street dining

I went to this awesome little bar and grille place in northern Beacon Hill for my birthday. My veggie burger was so yummy, but I forgot the name of the restaurant! If you're in the area and see these type of chairs lining the street, go inside! It's a great place to eat.

view of the pru

The Prudential Building on a warm day, with Storrow Drive underneath.

furry edges

If your two lips were as fringy as these tulips, you'd be pretty weird looking.

ninety five

You can tell a lot about a person by their doorstep.

heads up

The things you see on the Commons. This guy seems to be in denial of what is actually happening to his junk.

congested

I think these are cars. If this was a real road, it would be pretty jammed tight.

the flowered ones

These are my mom's favorite trees in Boston right now. She tried to get pictures this weekend while she was down visiting, but it didn't work out for her. So I decided to post these so she can see. The old man in the first one seemed pretty cool too. It took him probably an entire minute or two to walk past these two trees. Slow but determined.

ps this is the background to my new phone! get cool covers for your phone here, so it doesn't get as scratched as mine did!

lone man

A lonely old man sitting in the Garden. I think he was reading the newspaper.

alley books

Walking through my neighborhood, I came across an outdoor bookstore. I don't understand. What happens if it rains?

red sox vs. blue jays

Red Sox vs. Blue Jays yesterday, April 16, 2011. First win in awhile. Probably the coldest and windiest game in awhile too. Final score: 4-1, final temperature 41...

branched

So many trees, so many birds.

blue skies, white petals

Super nice day out yesterday. The trees were loving the sun and the flowers were dancing in the wind.

what the duck?

Visiting my duck friends in the Public Garden today was so much fun. We always have wonderful conversations about the homeless and squirrels. I'll be back to see them again soon.

The ducks in the Garden always remind me of this book that I used to have read to me when I was little. There's actually a memorial in the Garden dedicated to this book!

puppy love

We had to put my doggy to sleep today. She's been really sick the past week and was no longer happy. Luckily I made it home to say good bye before we had to let her go for good. Wherever she is now, I hope she knows that I love her very much.

Rest in Peace

south america with guns

My boyfriend has a psychotic roommate. She steals. She paints. She's mean. She's also really bad at doing the dishes.

Bad roommates in college are very common. Read this book to learn how to handle them, so you don't go crazy...  like I did.

A candle and it's reflection on a glass table.

rainy day daffodil

Found this daffodil outside of MIT laboratories on my walk to Cambridge the other day. He's been living in my room since, keeping me company on the past couple of gloomy days. Daffodils are great friends.

4/3/11

bench love

Sunday walk in the Garden. Benches exchange wise words, listen to them.

Metal chains around your neck; I don't get the concept of necklaces.

Can you pleeeeease close the door... I'm dressing!
