Lining up the flies for summer time.

ball and a boxed cat

Okay, so I guess there's no one to blame but me for this lack of posting. I've been busy! School, life, etc =  no good quality time with my camera. But I did have a short break from the craziness over spring break, unfortunately home is not the best place for me to continue taking pictures. But I did snag this one of my cat, Dandelion, inside her cathouse. I promise I'll be back to shooting and posting eventually!

les chats, deja vu

Okay, so I know you've seen my cats featured in so many posts. But they are just so model-esque, posing for me whenever I get out my camera. And of course I missed them while I was down in Boston.

Pumpkin always tries to blend into the wall. He takes the whole "orange" thing way too seriously.

Happy 15th birthday to Friskie! November 6th was the day, and we celebrated by doing joint yoga on the sunny deck outside.

one after another

Birds are so funny. They follow each other everywhere. While walking around Central yesterday I saw these guys in the hedges in front of the post office. They saw me and decided it would be safer to move up higher on the building. Once the first bird went, a succession of the rest followed in one fast sweep. It was crazy. It makes me wonder why all birds think the same.

un, deux, trois, CAT

Well I'm leaving home tomorrow to move into my new Cambridge apartment and start the next year of slaving over textbooks, note cards, and Netflix/ Facebook/ vegan cooking blogs. I'm super excited for my apartment, but I'm going to miss this last summer in Houlton, Maine. Three things I miss the most while I'm away are my kitties, Pumpkinpie, Friskie, and Dandelion. Maybe I'll eventually sneak one into my apartment.. If only they traveled well.

This picture above is Pumpkinpie. He's the most scared cat I've ever met. But once he gets to know you, he's sooo lovable.

Friskie's favorite thing to do is roll around on the ground and the deck. He's my laziest cat, but he's calm and never freaks out like the others.

This is Dandelion, the baby of the bunch. We still call her "The Kitten" even though she's seven and a half now. She's the cat with the most attitude; don't get on her bad side.

squirreling around

I had some crazy squirrels in my backyard the other day. The chased all the birds away and circled the trees thousands of times.

double dog

Two of the happiest dogs I've ever met. They're from this awesome little organic farm in Goldsboro, Maine (Darthia Farm).

pumpkin pie on driveway

This is my kitty Pumpkin Pie. I tried to do a photo session like I did with Friskie, but he's too camera shy for that. I did happen to get this one though!

My lazy cat being a wonderful model.

He reminds me of a Buddha.

Rawr!

the hungry

Rough night for Friskie out in the rain. He was extremely hungry when I let him in this morning.

petal picking

So many geese that need to eat, so many petals to be eaten.

branched

So many trees, so many birds.

what the duck?

Visiting my duck friends in the Public Garden today was so much fun. We always have wonderful conversations about the homeless and squirrels. I'll be back to see them again soon.

The ducks in the Garden always remind me of this book that I used to have read to me when I was little. There's actually a memorial in the Garden dedicated to this book!

blue jay, blue day

From another walk in the Garden. So many birds were out yesterday to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Boston. This blue jay was going off on a peanut.

feather frenzy

I scared the pigeons. They are so synchronized, it's like they become one cloud of feathers surrounding the street, instead of a million individual birds flying separately.

pudgy pigeons

I don't know if pigeons get fatter in the winter, or are just all puffed out to try to keep warm. Either way, they're huge.
