umphrey's mcgee at the state theater

Last weekend I went to the Umphrey's McGee show at the Portland State Theater. It was amazing. I have only seen them once before, at Nateva (RIP) and thought they were pretty awesome. BUT THIS was ten times as great.

PS, check out my post from the TAB show at the Portland State Theater from February. It was soooo great as well. Like really, it was amazing.

harvard market

If you don't know me, then the one thing you need to know is that I LOVE FARMERS' MARKETS. Love them. I love veggies and fruits, especially organic, and I love the people that grow them. So as my roommate and I were exploring Cambridge yesterday, we came across the Harvard Square Farmer Market. We almost died out of excitement. Unfortunately I didn't have any cash on me this time, but I'll be back next week with a pocket full of cash, my reusable shopping bags, and a tummy/heart ready for fresh goodies. ..and of course my camera again.

one after another

Birds are so funny. They follow each other everywhere. While walking around Central yesterday I saw these guys in the hedges in front of the post office. They saw me and decided it would be safer to move up higher on the building. Once the first bird went, a succession of the rest followed in one fast sweep. It was crazy. It makes me wonder why all birds think the same.

vegan eats

So before I left home I started putting together some of my recipes. Then I decided that I'm going to make a cookbook. THEN I realized that if I am going to make a cookbook, I better have some pictures. So I mixed two things I love most: cooking and photography..... and voilĂ !

Oh and yes, all of these recipes are completely VEGAN! 100% egg, dairy, meat, any other animal product freeeeeeee.

bike and graffiti

I'm all moved into my Central Square apartment in Cambridge! After a lot of cleaning, painting, moving, and organizing that is. Ughh.... But on one of my relaxing walks the other night after a busy day, I came across this alley. It's completely covered in bright graffiti! And not that ugly graffiti you see in most places, this is art. I love it.

un, deux, trois, CAT

Well I'm leaving home tomorrow to move into my new Cambridge apartment and start the next year of slaving over textbooks, note cards, and Netflix/ Facebook/ vegan cooking blogs. I'm super excited for my apartment, but I'm going to miss this last summer in Houlton, Maine. Three things I miss the most while I'm away are my kitties, Pumpkinpie, Friskie, and Dandelion. Maybe I'll eventually sneak one into my apartment.. If only they traveled well.

This picture above is Pumpkinpie. He's the most scared cat I've ever met. But once he gets to know you, he's sooo lovable.

Friskie's favorite thing to do is roll around on the ground and the deck. He's my laziest cat, but he's calm and never freaks out like the others.

This is Dandelion, the baby of the bunch. We still call her "The Kitten" even though she's seven and a half now. She's the cat with the most attitude; don't get on her bad side.
